Canon HG10 HD Hard Disk Camcorder

The Canon HG10 video camera records high definition video onto it’s internal hard disk drive. There is also the option to shoot digital photos with the HG10. At the core of the HG 10 lies Canon’s DIGIC DV II processing chip. This chip is optimised for processing both video and photos independently providing the best processing in both situations. The DIGIC DV II processor’s noise reduction routines will ensure your footage is as noise free as possible which is especially important in low light situations which is where some cheaper camcorders can produce a grainy picture.

Using the HG10 is a doddle thanks to the intuitive Navigation Control Dial. This dial provides access to the camcorders most common features and functions allowing you to quickly and easily scroll through them with your thumb. As well as recording to the HDD the Canon HG10 gives you the option of recording still photographs to a mini CD card for greater flexibility. You can simply remove the mini SD card to transfer your photos to another device or have them developed directly from the card. The HDD in the HG10 provides you with enough space to record over 12 hours of quality high definition video which should be more than enough for all but the most demanding of users.

Viewing your creations is easy with a variety of output options including HDMI and USB 2.0. You can also review your recordings directly on the HG10′s LCD screen. Using HDMI you can connect the camcorder directly to a high definition television or projector to quickly share your creations in glorious high definition.
